The standout from Huntsville High School is listed at 6-foot-2, 235 pounds and is expected to play the highly coveted Wolf position in Alabama's defensive scheme.
Why Jeremiah Beverly Is a Big-Time Addition
Jeremiah Beverly brings everything Alabama looks for in an edge defender:
Elite burst off the line of scrimmage
Physicality against the run
Versatility to rush the passer or drop into coverage
High football IQ and relentless motor
His athletic profile makes him an ideal fit for the Wolf position, where speed, strength, and playmaking ability are essential.
What Is the Wolf Position?
The Wolf position has become one of the most important roles in Alabama's defense.
Players lining up at Wolf are expected to:
Pressure opposing quarterbacks
Set the edge against the run
Create disruptive plays in the backfield
Force turnovers through sacks and strip fumbles
Jeremiah Beverly possesses the physical tools and athleticism to thrive in this role, making him an exciting addition for Alabama's defensive future.
Another Recruiting Win for Alabama
Winning recruiting battles remains one of Alabama's biggest strengths.
Landing Beverly early in the 2027 cycle gives the Crimson Tide another cornerstone defender while continuing to build momentum on the recruiting trail.
Even with offers from Cincinnati, Troy, and Wake Forest, Beverly believed Tuscaloosa offered the best opportunity to develop his game and compete for championships.
What This Means for Alabama Football
Adding Jeremiah Beverly strengthens Alabama's defensive future and reinforces the program's reputation for developing elite pass rushers.
As he continues to develop during his high school career, Beverly has the potential to become one of the premier defensive prospects in the country.
