Mark Ingram Returns to Bryant-Denny Stadium as Alabama Celebrates His College Football Hall of Fame Honor
Mark Ingram made a special return to Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium as Alabama honored the former Crimson Tide running back for his selection to the 2026 NFF College Football Hall of Fame class.
The recognition brought another memorable moment to Tuscaloosa for one of the most important players in Alabama football history, with Nick Saban, Greg Byrne and Peter Mohler among those on hand to celebrate the occasion.
Ingram's Alabama career remains one of the most decorated in program history. From 2008-10, he helped the Crimson Tide win the 2009 national championship and became the first Alabama player to win the Heisman Trophy.
During his historic 2009 season, Ingram rushed for 1,658 yards and 17 touchdowns while earning unanimous First Team All-American honors and SEC Offensive Player of the Year recognition. He finished his Alabama career with 3,261 rushing yards and 42 rushing touchdowns.
The Bryant-Denny Stadium celebration served as a fitting tribute to Ingram's lasting impact on Alabama football. His 2026 Hall of Fame selection makes him the 22nd Crimson Tide player to enter the NFF College Football Hall of Fame, according to the National Football Foundation.
The full Hall of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled for Dec. 8, 2026, in Las Vegas, but Saturday's on-campus salute gave Alabama fans the opportunity to celebrate Ingram back where his legendary college career began.
