Alabama Football Lands 2028 Four-Star OT Anthony Blalock Jr., Sixth Commit of the Class
Alabama football added another building block to its 2028 recruiting class Sunday when four-star offensive tackle Anthony Blalock Jr. committed to the Crimson Tide.
The Austintown, Ohio native chose Alabama over a competitive field that included Ohio State and Notre Dame, among others. Blalock is listed at 6-foot-5, 320 pounds and plays for Austintown Fitch High School, where he's developed into one of the top offensive line prospects in the class.
His commitment gives Kalen DeBoer's staff its sixth pledge in the 2028 cycle, continuing an early and aggressive push to build depth up front for the future. Blalock's size and mobility at his position have made him a priority target since Alabama extended an offer, and his decision signals the program's growing traction with top-tier Midwest talent.
